[opensuse-project] And finally.... Board meeting minutes and then some....
Hi all, $DAYJOBs have us scrambling and thus it took a bit longer to get the minutes out the door and the wiki updated. The skinny of it is that the board meeting on Feb 24th was canceled as we couldn't manage to get enough of us on the phone at any point during that week :( . The following two board meetings took place and the meeting minutes are now posted to the wiki. http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_meeting#Meeting_2014-03-10 http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_meeting#Meeting_2014-03-24 As always if you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to reply to this thread or send a message to the board mailing list, board at o.o Collectively we are currently spending a good chunk of our time to get the booth box stuff bootstrapped and figuring out where to send this first batch of 30 boxes that is almost ready to go. For those interested in representing openSUSE at an event please speak up. We are trying to get the list at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Advocates_events#2014 back into shape and get the contact info updated as well as sorting out what events are of interest. Please help out. We received a great proposal from Jos for LinuxTag (May 8-10 in Berlin) and some volunteers will be needed to help organize, give talks, and man a table. Please get a hold of Jos, remember to use his opensuse e-mail address ;) . There will be a presentation of the booth box at oSC 14 that will show the content and present some thoughts around the expectations of material usage etc. Don't forget at the end of April we will have oSC 14 in Dubrovnic. If you have not registered please register soon to allow the organization team to get good numbers for planning the welcome reception and the certainly to be awesome conference party. CfP closed a couple of days ago, thus if you didn't submit, you missed out. Hello, Good to hear the booth kits are ready. I don't if anything can't be sent in time but the Linux User Group of Mauritius has organized a IT event called "Corsair Hackers Reboot". See http://lugm.org/corsair. We'll be demo'ing several Linux distributions and give away free DVD copies. The event is for 19 April 2014. If any marketing material can reach Mauritius by that time it'll be awesome. Cheers! Ish Sookun - Geek by birth ... Linux by choice. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ |H|A|C|K|L|O|G|.|i|n| +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ On Wed, Apr 2, 2014 at 6:08 PM, Robert Schweikert <rjschwei@suse.com> wrote:
