[opensuse-project] openSUSE logo on the MirrorBrain "users" page
Hi, I would like to add the openSUSE logo onto the web page "Who uses MirrorBrain?" (http://mirrorbrain.org/users/). On http://en.opensuse.org/Artwork, I found a nice logo, and I would like to kindly ask for you permission of using it. I tentatively added one to the web page just now, so you can see it in context. Of course, I'll remove it at once if you prefer. In addition, I would also like to make use of the logo in a presentation about MirrorBrain that I plan to give on the upcoming FOSDEM conference in Brussels. The context is, again, a list of MirrorBrain users that I intend to enumerate, and which I would like to visually enhance with logos of all of them. The presentation would later be available as PDF file on the MirrorBrain project page, and it might be filmed and thereby end up on YouTube and similar sites. Would you mind me including your logo there? I found no info on http://en.opensuse.org/Artwork about proper use of the material, or about whom to contact, so I thought I'd just try here. Of course, feel free to forward my request as needed. Thanks a lot! On http://en.opensuse.org/Buttons_and_Banners I found a description on the usage of our logo: Use of openSUSE graphics (offical artwork only) Please leave them as they are. Altering the graphics in any way dilutes the recognition of openSUSE graphics. * Do not change the logo. * Do not change any letters in the logo to a different font, casement, form or color. * Do not italicize, skew or stretch the logo. * Do not deviate from the spacing or sizing relationships already established in the logo. * Do not use unauthorized icons or words in conjunction with the logo. Use the openSUSE graphics only in conjunction with pieces related to the openSUSE.org project. They should not be used in any other instance. Use of (at least the official) openSUSE logos is permitted under the following Novell Terms, http://www.novell.com/company/legal/permission/ Best M

[...] I see - I didn't look on that page, because I wasn't looking for a banner or a button, but for the actual logo. The http://en.opensuse.org/Artwork page seems to miss the text, or a pointer. Or did I overlook it? Zonker also provided me with the link http://news.opensuse.org/2009/03/02/opensuse-trademark-guidelines-released/ , which points to all the details. Thanks!
