Hi Axel, I checked the GNU Health wiki. I noticed that the page still refers to Live- CDs based on SUSEStudio [1] and the links are broken. Do you know if someone is still maintaining a Live-CD? If not, then we could probably update this part of the wiki to include instructions on setting up GNU Health on openSUSE Leap / Tumbleweed. Correct. I had a sentence in there that this is currently broken, but we are working on a new version - but that was removed by someone from wikipedia

Currently there is no live-CD. I made an attempt by branching the current openSUSE Live CD with the intention to enhance this with GH and the demo DB, but got stuck somehwere....and then other things chime in... During oSC I saw a presentation from Neal about image building...maybe this can help restarting the project. Are you interested?
This part is in the wiki, but very hidden. The GNU Health author promotes only the installation from sources, what we all dont like, as it is way too complicated, esp for a non-technical user like a medical doctors The setup on openSUSE is in the oS wiki: https://en.opensuse.org/GNUHealth_on_openSUSE HTH Axel

This is about an installable live CD, right? Then there's some work to be done, but it's possible.
First goal should be a live-CD that shows the capabilities of GNU Health on openSUSE. If it is installable, even better, but one step after the other. (Are you still or already awake ;-) Cheers Axel

Yes. I attended Neal's session on KIWI. I am not sure how that would work out for a live-cd but I am keen to investigate. On the other hand, we could also have a MicroOS version of this. I'll dig into the documentation. Regards, -- Ish Sookun

Good!

That may work for a demo, but microOS is not suitable as basis for a running GNU Health system. Sudden change of postgres version will break the installation. Option could be to run GH in a container on microsOS. That would need a postgres-container, which is currently(*) not available on OBS Cheers Axel (*) I did not check today......
