[opensuse-project] Interested in GSOC 2013
Hi Manu, This email is in reference to GSOC 2013 idea mentioned on your page. I am 4th year Computer Science student from BITS Pilani, India. I am proficient in Java and I have experience with building Android applications. I developed an Android app for my college fest which was a simple RSS reader to notify people about the events during college fest. Apart from that I have great interest in Algorithms, computer networks and operating systems. I constantly take part in online coding competitions. I am also proficient in C, PHP, JavaScript and MySQL. I had also developed a quizzing website for my college's annual fest which was based on PHP and JavaScript. Regarding the app, how can we access the data from openSuse planet. Means is there any RSS feed generated for each activity or do I have to get the data directly from the server. Also, it would be better if we use Phonegap and jQuery UI for developing the app since it would be cumbersome to include web data in Native android app. Please contact me for further details. Also, I am applying to GSOC for the first time, so kindly mail me if I am missing anything. I am really interested to work on this project. If needed I will contact you on IRC. I discussed with Manu regarding Phonegap and jQuery UI. Phonegap is good option but webView can also be used as other Android apps like Quora and Facebook use them very nicely. Both will be able to interact with Native android sdk. I will research more about them. -- Umang Kedia Student, BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

You posted twice. Please be aware that gmail deletes your posts sent to a mail list. Your email was posted on the list (two posts), but you will never see them in your own mailbox. The reasoning is that you already have a copy in your "Sent" folder, so any other copy is duplicated and deleted. A gmail feature. About the content of your post, I can not comment, not my field. The same goes for "Shayon Mukherjee" and "Anurag". All of you are posting twice. Once is enough, please. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
