Hi folks,
today it is my pleasure to thank two of our members, which is always a nice thing:
Andrew Wafaa, for serving as our treasurer for many years and helping with the travel support program (TSP) among others.
And Syds Bearda for stepping up and agreeing to become our new treasurer.
Syds has been a financial controller/accountant for 15 years, in a variety of businesses and freelancing, and is an expert in "everything with computers and numbers".
There is not a lot of travel going on these days, sadly (and Doug has been skillfully helping with TSP), but hopefully that will change. ;-) In addition Syds and me will be looking to create a budget overview around openSUSE with the help of colleagues at SUSE.
Please join me in thanking Andrew and welcoming Syds to the role!
Gerald (on behalf of the Board)

Thanks to Andrew for so many years!! Thanks to TSP, I had the chance to attend to a Hackathon many years ago in SUSE Headquarters in Nurenberg. Was a really great experience!!
And a huge welcome to Syds in this role to serve the community.
Greetings!!
