[opensuse-project] Razor-qt instead of LXDE to our 12.2 DVD
Hello friends, I see that Razor-qt is inside our Factory repository for 12.2. I also see on the razor-qt mailing list that there's a huge progress with it. Since I'm not familiar with creating the DVD, I was wondering if it's possible to change LXDE with Razor-qt or if not, then add it as extra environment to the list. Razor-qt is a great, light and blazing fast alternative for those wanting to enjoy it on low resource systems. I would like to see that on next openSUSE 12.2 DVD or maybe a derivative CD. I am afraid I am not so skilled to make it possible in a short time. Hope someone get enthusiastic enough to get it alive. Razor-qt is sort of hyped at the moment, but is that a good enough reason to replace LXDE (last year's hype)? I don't know if we should replace LXDE with Razor-qt and I kind of agree on that hype thing but I strongly think that we should replace LXDE with something else since it seems that it has no actual development afaik, those days there are many pretty cool new GUI's that are 'light' for older PC's, they are also pretty and more active as projects. I haven't tryied Razor-qt yet (I am installing this right now) but I really liked E17 and I had actually used it as my main GUI for a while with 11.4 in my ideapad.

Really? I don't follow LXDE development, I assumed that the hype boosted development though. So why not have a "hype desktop" patter and just replace the content with each distro release? :-) It's nice for users to be able to try something new and if development stalls it gets removed from factory and moved to some repo on obs for the next release. Nobody really reads the release notes anymore, lol It is stuck in 0.5 for more than 2 openSUSE releases afaik...

I really like that idea, but I don't have the technical knowlege for how easy is something like that. This could be another one of our innovations as a Project :-)
