[opensuse-project] openSUSE page on freecode.com
Anyone know who owns it? http://freecode.com/projects/suselinux (though the project URL is 'suselinux', it is the openSUSE page) Last update was the 12.1 release. If it's not owned by anyone (which looks like it might be the case as the owner is listed as "not- available"), maybe the project needs to take ownership of it. Wow! Never knew this page existed. Good catch! This is the kind of thing that gives a reason that we need to have a master checklist of all pages and sites we need to visit periodically for updates. (Including Wikipedia, etc.) The go-to guy for Freenode IRC stuff is Darix. I'm sure he's seeing this message and will advise what we should do (esp. the marketing team that should be providing copy material for this page.) Great, thanks, Bryen - I'll ping Darix (needed to ping him about my IRC cloak as well anyways). Ownership is quite loose for most freecode entries, as they have this option enabled by default that allows submissions from anybody: "" Manage roles/Options Writeable for everyone: [*] Ticking this box enables every registered user to help keep your project record up-to-date. Don't worry though, all changes are moderated by Freecode staff and have to be approved before going live. "" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that (I wasn't logged in so I didn't see that option). The role management stuff came back 403 for me, but if it's open to be modified, I guess that makes sense. :) Jim -- Jim Henderson Please keep on-topic replies on the list so everyone benefits -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
