James Ogley said it was renewed, but it is taking a while to propogate. As mentioned by Kevin (and as noticed by James in his blog), you can bypassing DNS propagation by manually edited your /etc/hosts file and add this row : 77.74.198.174 www.planetsuse.org planetsuse.org -- Best Regards, Masim "Vavai" Sugianto /************************************************************/ Blog (ID) : http://www.vavai.com/blog/index.php Blog (EN) : http://www.vavai.net Community : http://www.opensuse.or.id Email : vavai@vavai.com /************************************************************/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Sadly, does not help the people forced to use computers with which they do not have administrator privileges ;).

In case this box would host several websites and NameVirtualHost is being used, the IP will not really help you if you use it in the URL field. If it's a linux machine you can use an alternative resolv.conf with an LD_PRELOAD hack http://bw.uwcs.co.uk/b/brad_dns_hack for example. This uses /var/tmp/dns/cnf instead of /etc/resolv.conf Then if you can write to /var/tmp/dns/cnf you can use an up to date DNS server by adding "nameserver 212.67.203.246". I'm not sure if there's a similar hack for windows. -- Benjamin Weber --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

When I posted this, the WHOIS information showed it as having been renewed, that information now appears differently. I am investigating but I actually don't own the domain. In the meantime, http://planet.opensu.se should work. -- James Ogley, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team and Planet SUSE. riggwelter@opensuse.org http://opensuse.org/GNOME http://planetsuse.org openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
