[opensuse-project] openSUSE:SUSECon Planning
Hello There, I just signed up myself for the volunteer work - Android Setup and Wordpress Setup on the openSUSE:SUSECon Planning page. I use to contribute to openSUSE quite a while back. And now I would really love contribute my 2 cents again. I am wondering if anybody can tell me what kind of things are being expected or is being planned for the above two mentioned tasks. In short - I am looking for a place to start :) Cheers /Shayon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Great! We'll probably get started working on the wordpress instance as soon as the name of the event has been decided. We'll close the poll for that this Saturday. For the Android app, we already have an app we used for the openSUSE Conference. We just need to convert it as a new app instance for the Florida event. But any app has "room for improvement" and certainly you can take a look at our existing android app to see how it is done. Just go to the Android Market and download the openSUSE Conference app. As for the wordpress instance, obviously that needs to wait until after we have a name. We'd like to see it up and running by the beginning of March even though full details and possibly registration information will not be ready until later. I'll be sure to include you in the implementation discussions once we reach out to our admins to install the "soon-to-be-named".opensuse.org instance. Thanks! The existing app for osc11 can be found at: https://github.com/digitaltom/OSCFahrplan I can help in making it ready for the next conference. Greetings

Hello, I would love to give a helping hand to the organization of this event. Do you think some remote help could be useful? I won't be able to be at the event, even though I would really like to, due to financial reasons. However I would like to contribute a little bit in the planning/organizing. I see that tasks have been already taken on but I think that maybe I could share some of the tasks with the people who have already put their names on several things and maybe they could use some some extra help with them? What do you think? Anyone need to delegate some work perhaps? Everyone is welcome and we most certainly do not exclude those who can contribute but are unable to attend. We're a big wide community after all. :-) As noted, tasks/committees can be fulfilled by more than one person. So, the first thing is to determine what you are interested in contributing to, then add your name and as soon as we're ready to move forward, we'll do so. nd as always, if you have questions about specific tasks, you can always contact me or Alan Clark for further investigation. If there's something you think should be listed and isn't, go ahead and add it. We welcome more ideas and want to see as many bases covered as possible as early as possible. :-) /me looks forward to seeing Stella on one of our committees soon!
