[opensuse-project] Conference Logo 3rd Proposal
Hey, I worked on a simpler design this time than the other two proposals. I was given some tips and this is what came out. I like that this logo could go well on t-shirts, documents, web banners, etc. Let's hear what you think about it! http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h414/anditosan/Logo_Proposal3_zps4d7a44f... PS: Are we already working on a new conference.opensuse.org? We will need graphics for that as well. I think that if we play red and green on the site for identifying Croatia, it should look really good. Thank you! I like the idea but only the idea... it is too Bauhaus, maybe make it a bit more medivial. Kostas 2013/12/3 Andres Silva <anditosan1000@gmail.com>:

Hi Andy, I agree with Kostas, and it also seems to me as though there is a bit too much of Croatia on the logo. Somehow the geeko isn't emphasized enough.. I don't know if that makes sense? Basically what I want to say is that the checkers board of Croatian coat of arms, I think, should be a bit more subtle.. something like these examples: http://logos-vector.com/logo/vector_HRT_75514.htm#.Up24M8PUKY4 http://www.jatrgovac.com/usdocs/Vina-Croatia-Vina-Mosaica-logo.jpg (maybe not great logos, but I hope they do explain my thoughts on this) On the matter of website, it is currently only indirectly being worked on. As I have been told, it will not be hard to build it after we finish announcements, info texts about the venue and get artwork ready. P.S. I added you to the oSC14 team on Trello, I hope that is OK with you? https://trello.com/osc14team Best regards, Svebor On Tue, 2013-12-03 at 09:00 +0200, Kostas Koudaras wrote:

Oh yes, and what do you think about a Dubrovnik tower flying a Geeko flag? i.e.: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a2/Forteresse_de_Dubrovnik.j... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r256M-_191o/UAWKWMpLbYI/AAAAAAAAAb4/DXpWk-O9ak4/s1... Not necessarily a photo, could be a drawn tower with a geeko flag that is the shape of Dubrovnik's Libertas flag (described in Lucijana's tips document https://trello-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/51efb2afe6df929a28002210/51f26a0... Nice, just a little suggestion, there is fifth-leg font that is traditionally used for openSUSE to make it look like in the logo :-) -- Michal HRUSECKY SUSE LINUX, s.r.o. openSUSE Team Lihovarska 1060/12 PGP 0xFED656F6 19000 Praha 9 mhrusecky[at]suse.cz Czech Republic http://michal.hrusecky.net http://www.suse.cz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
