Thanks Patrick, and thanks to the openSUSE Community for their trust in Marina, Christian and myself! It was a difficult choice this time, as four candidates who did not make it, Sarah, Sebastien, Vinz and Nathan, have shown great commitment to the project as well. Any of them would have deserved a seat! Last but not least, the elections went smooth and well due to the great work the election committee has done: I think I can speak for all of the candidates when giving a big 'Thank You' to M. Edwin Zakaria, Ish Sookun and Gerry Makaro! I hope I see you all at oSC19! Where, and when, was the result of the elections posted? Having asked this question, Congratulations to the newly elected Members. The voting system posted out the announcement I guess to everyone eligible to vote or atleast to people who voted or atleast to me, here's the relevant bit from my copy of the email. The tally for openSUSE Board Elections 2018-2019 has been computed and released: https://elections.opensuse.org/helios/e/2018-2019-opensuse-board-elections The Election Committee thanks all members for their participation in the openSUSE Board Election 2018 - 2019. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
Simon mentioned one place, but also:
and
as well as on the Project ML. ... but, only those paying attention might have noticed. :-P On 2/20/19 10:06 PM, Basil Chupin wrote:

Simply put: If you took the interest in the Project and the Elections to actually vote, you received the information. If you did not show the interest to actually perform your membership duty and vote in the election, than it would be logical to assume you were also not interested in the results. Of course, I *know* you voted, Carlos, simply because I know you *do* take a strong interest in the Project and the Community. And, no, not because I was on the Elections Committee, because voting is by secret ballot: Secret even from the Elections Committee itself. Instead, it is because I know enough about you from our past interactions over the last few years that I know you take the interest and you vote in the elections. I also didn't see an email on the project mailing list so I guess it got missed. Hmmm. I suppose you are right. I guess you and Carlos are correct that I somehow missed posting to the Project Mailing list, and I suppose that means that I have managed to make this the worst-run election ever because of that. Keep in mind, I was quite burnt out at the end of the election, yet I managed to write the News Article in openSUSE News -- the place where I, personally, would FIRST expect to find openSUSE News, silly me! -- and do a few other cleanup jobs before I collapsed. But, you are right, I did a lousy job with my part in the elections. -- -Gerry Makaro openSUSE Member openSUSE Global Moderator openSUSE Contributor YaST Contributor aka Fraser_Bell on the Forums, OBS, IRC, and mail at openSUSE.org Fraser-Bell on Github -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
