where people are also individually on the feed of Planet KDE.
That would miss the "tagging" part which I consider rather interesting.
In what way? All of those blogs could still have tags, no?
Usecase: I'm only interested in blogs with YaST tags associated with it.
And that seemed to be missing in it,
I think the best way of overcoming that (and the way other projects handle it) is just by having sub-planets. They could be at i.e. planetsuse.org/YaST as mentioned before. For example, there's Planet KDE but there's also a Planet Amarok, or Planet GNOME and Planet Banshee (or at least there was). This way you avoid having to post the same post in two places, and you still have the specialisation there for when you want/need it. Now that the feed blocking is almost ready to go live (expect an announcement tomorrow), my next project will be basic tagging on the Planet. At the moment, some tags I've thought of are: gnome, kde, yast, art, board Of course, any given feed could have multiple tags. -- James Ogley, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team and Planet SUSE. riggwelter@opensuse.org http://opensuse.org/GNOME http://planetsuse.org openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

What happens with tags that I attach to my articles? Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform / openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

That would require a different pile of code - the article tagging side is easier to get done because it uses a similar idea to the feed hiding. Utilising bloggers' own tags would be the next step but integrating the two approaches (in a way that doesn't get broken when Planet gets updated) could be entertaining. None of that means it won't happen of course ;) -- James Ogley, openSUSE Member: GNOME Team and Planet SUSE. riggwelter@opensuse.org http://opensuse.org/GNOME http://planetsuse.org openSUSE: Get It, Discover It, Create It at http://www.opensuse.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
