[opensuse-project] openSUSE Count Down, T-14 ?
Hi all, We are here in Jakarta Indonesia (GMT+7) now on June 19, 2008. This morning I've checked out the countdown counter on http://www.opensuse.or.id and find out the counter display T-14. What is T-14 stand for ? Is this related with Pascal Bleser noticed last day about the words for "openSUSE 11.0 is now available, download now !" or something like that ? I've checked http://en.opensuse.org/Countdown also and found similar display (yes, of course, because the first link are taken content from the second :-D ) I don't mention about download link. I just curious about the words displayed on the count down. It means we've got 14 hours to go until launch. It could probably say
"hours", but it's too late to change it now. I think most people will
get T-14.

The military types use: D-Day (the day of an operation) H-Hour (the hour of that operation) If it's significant / relevant: M-Minute S-Second Get the pattern? On the other hand 'T' is the precise time of an event with T-N being N time units before the event, with those units explicitly stated at least once. (A rocket launch being the classic example.) T+M is M time units after the main event.
