[opensuse-project] opensuse conference practical information?
Hi, The openSUSE conference starts next week, but I still could not find any practical information about it. Here are just a few things I miss: - address of the conference building ("Dubrovnik University" gives too many matches in Google...) - how to reach it by by car, public transport, etc. - how to get to the city from the airport - can one use Euro or needs the local currency (if local, where are ATMs, good exchange rates) Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

There is a map at the bottom of the page -> Branitelja Dubrovnika 41

Did you read the FAQ? https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Conference_FAQ Henne -- Henne Vogelsang http://www.opensuse.org Everybody has a plan, until they get hit. - Mike Tyson -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Not yet. It's well hidden :) Why is it not linked from the conference page? I checked it again, and still could not find a trace of it anywhere... Anyway, thanks, it has most of the info I need, except if I need the local currency or I can use Euros. You need to really try to find the link to it. :-) And thanks for pointing to currency info missing, added to the FAQ. Best, Svebor -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

ATMs in Croatia will give out Kuna. Every time I've been in Croatia, I've had to carry Kuna. Hotels and such will sometimes take Euros (I usually pay the credit card there though) but it's best to assume you will need Kuna (roughly 7.60 Kuna to the Euro right now). Assuming you've got a standard EU bank card, you only need to find an ATM once you arrive - at the airport, or just after you cross the border from Slovenia, Hungary etc. (assuming you're coming from a country to the north). On the land borders, there is usually an ATM within a kilometer or two... and there's several ATMs at the airport - this map shows where they are (all in a row by the exit): http://edit.pandopad.com/airport/dubrovnik/web_edition/index_eng.html C. -- openSUSE 13.1 x86_64, KDE 4.12 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
Hi Peter, The answer to these questions can be found in the FAQ: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Conference_FAQ which is unfortunately very well hidden in the menu on the website. Things like ATMs are marked on the map at the bottom of the conference website and you should use local currency (Croatian Kuna). There are heaps of places where you can exchange currencies, and rates shouldn't be very different. Best, Svebor On Mon, 2014-04-14 at 11:19 +0200, Peter Czanik wrote:
