Dear openSUSE members, openSUSE Board Election 2024 [1] It's time to elect new Board members to fill empty seats on the openSUSE Board for 2025. This time we are looking to fill three seats in accordance with our Election Rules [2]: 1. Douglas DeMaio / ddemaio 2. Neal Gompa / Conan_Kudo 3. Patrick Fitzgerald ## Schedule ## Friday 15 November 2024 * Announcement for the Board Election 2024 * Call for nominations and applications for Board candidacy * Membership drive Saturday 30 November 2024 * Announcement of the final list of candidates * Campaign begins * Membership drive continues, opportunity to apply for openSUSE membership, but new members will only be eligible to vote and not run as candidate Sunday 1 December 2024 * Ballots open: Please cast your vote during this time * Campaign continues Sunday 15 December 2024 * Ballots close Monday 16 December 2024 * Announcement of results To stand for a position in the openSUSE Board please send an email to: * project@lists.opensuse.org and * election-officials@lists.opensuse.org If a member would like to nominate another member, please inform the Election Committee and the officials will contact the nominee to ask whether they would like to run as a Board candidate. Only openSUSE members are eligible to run for openSUSE Board openings in accordance with the Eligibility and Validity section of our Election Rules [2]. Hi folks, In case, this email was missed. Please note that the openSUSE Board Election 2024 has been announced. Applications and nominations are welcomed until Friday 29 November 2024. The candidate slate will be published on Saturday 30 November. Reach out if you have any questions.
