[opensuse-project] Survey on proprietary software usage
Andreas sent out this announcement:
We like to know a bit more about the usage of proprietary software we ship on some versions of our openSUSE distribution. Therefore we created a 16 question survey and ask you to participate and give us feedback. The survey is online till June 12.
I'd like to find out more about the aims of the survey, if possible. Also why is tetex/texlive regarded as proprietary in this context? -- ======================== Roger Whittaker roger@disruptive.org.uk http://disruptive.org.uk ======================== --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

The aim was to figure out the significance of these programs so that we know what is used by our users.

That's an accident. The question was planned to be about significance of TeX since it uses a lot of space so that we know whether to put it on the media or not, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform / openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
