Cheers, Saurabh
as Saurabh and Manu are busy with their studies the next few weeks, I agreed in helping them with our openSUSE GSoC application. To make our application successfully again, we need as many interesting project proposals as possible. Please everyone who is involved in an project under the openSUSE umbrella, think about possible project proposals and add them to our ideas page[1]. As openSUSE weren't selected last year, some ideas from 2015 are probably still valid[2]. Have fun Christian [1]: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GSOC_ideas [2]: https://en.opensuse.org/Archive:GSOC_ideas_2015

Hi everyone, as a quick reminder, the deadline for submitting projects to GSoC is approaching fast[1]! The organization application period starts 8. February and we encourage everyone who wants to participate as a mentor this year to submit the project till 8. February to our project site. For this year GSoC we created a new mentoring page[2]. To submit a project please open an issue in our mentoring repository[3] following our suggested template[4]. Thanks Christian [1] https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline [2] http://opensuse.github.io/mentoring/ [3] https://github.com/openSUSE/mentoring/issues [4] https://github.com/openSUSE/mentoring/blob/gh-pages/templates/mentored_proje... Hi, last call for participation: This Friday is the deadline for Google Summer of Code 2016. Everyone who wants to participate with a project or as a mentor should submit his project ASAP. ATM, most of our projects are web development, Ruby / Ruby on Rails projects. However, as a Linux distribution, we would also like to see some projects around our distribution. Everyone with expertise in this area, feel encouraged to submit a project :) For this year GSoC we created a new page[1]. To submit a project please open an issue in our mentoring repository[2] following our suggested template[3].
