There's nothing like this in openSUSE since we distribute openSUSE for free, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

That kind of defeats the purpose of the 'free' operating system if you charge a license to activate it. -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

I believe it violates the use policy of the free studio to put commercial software on the appliances, but ... Novell sells a commercial version of studio that can be used to build commercial appliances based on openSUSE, so the idea / question is not without merit in that circumstance. fyi: I'm not with Novell, so double check the above details if there important to you and I have no idea what Novell charges for the commercial version of studio. No, for Studio it doesn't make a difference, what kind of software to put on the appliance. Studio is just the tool here. You can put commercial software on your appliances, if you like. You have to comply to licenses and other constraints of distribution and the software you put on it, though. But that's not any different from doing it without Studio. -- Cornelius Schumacher <cschum@suse.de> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
