[opensuse-project] Seeking oSC16 Location

Therefore, the openSUSE board is seeking applications from people interested to lead the organization and host oSC16. For those with historical trivia knowledge about our project the year 2016 will ring a bell. 2016 marks the 10 year anniversary of our project, certainly a great reason to celebrate. The requirements for a venue location can be found here: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Conference_venue_requirements and we are looking forward to many great applications to host the openSUSE conference in our ten year anniversary year of 2016. Please submit proposals to the board mailing list, board@o.o, by March 15, 2015. We will try to make a decision about the location as quickly as possible and invite one person from the organizational team to participate in oSC15 in The Hague in early May. If everything goes as planned we will announce the location for oSC16 at the upcoming oSC15. Yes, Nuremberg would be good I guess because it's comparably easy to reach for the people who have to travel but also quite some peeps are already there. A potential location in Nbg. would be a house called 'Südpunkt' in Nuremberg: http://suedpunkt-nuernberg.de/ When we did the conference in Zentrifuge in Nbg., we had a very reasonable quote from the Südpunkt on the table. We only decided against that because we thought Zentrifuge was more cool and better fitting the project, but from an organisational POV, Südpunkt might have had been the better choice. Probably worth checking. But if I remember the game correctly it is not about throwing around location names now, but doing concrete proposals. As I know SUSE there are probably already ideas and maybe also actions taken, so is there already a group of SUSEs in Nbg. working on something?
