hmmm.. just checked (with a system which worked yesterday): can (also) not log into the Wiki or the openSUSE forums... i guess the whole attachmate-novell-netiq-suse-opensuse log in lash-up has lost its mind. maybe the solution is kiss. dd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

You need to clear out the cookies. The problem appears to be related to sessions timing out, i.e. if you have a session that times out and then try to login again "bad" things happen. The connection between the timeout and this issues has just recently been identified, as I learned yesterday and work is in progress to address the problem. I only just cleared out the cookies yesterday (when I opened the bugreporty), but now it's playing up again. In the past it used to happen every other month or so. Just FYI. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.8°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

i don't think it is only a cookie problem...having done *nothing* on my machine and some hours later i could log into both forum and wiki...maybe it was being worked on when i first tried saturday. dd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Hmm, that bug requires one to be signed in, which caused me the same problem as bug#825130, so I cleared the cookies etc, only to find out "You are not authorized to access bug #753203". :-( Anyway, I would be happy as long as logging in would just work. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (22.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

That's a recurring problem of openSUSE's use of Novell's bug tracker. Only a special elite can find or comment Bugzilla bugs about Bugzilla, making the problem circular. The inference expected of my post was that it is possible to request and be granted access to a limited access bug that one is interested in. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
