I just saw some comments that a new Google Summer of Code'2009 (http://code.google.com/soc) will be accepting project proposals in a week or so.
I consider last year's participation great and would like to get your feedback for this year: * Shall we participate again? * Already anybody volunteering as tutor? * Who will organise GSOC for openSUSE?

Once we decide on participation, we should create a wiki page to point people to for further information. A couple of weeks ago, a student came into one of our IRC channels asking around expressing his wishes to participate in GSOC. I was a little lost to not be able to point him to a page where he could follow a procedure for whom to ask for more information, apply, etc. Best I could do was to tell him to sign up for the -project mailing list and make his request there, which isn't always the best solution. -- Bryen Yunashko openSUSE Board Member openSUSE-GNOME Team Member GNOME-A11y Team Member -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
