Nothing specific actually.
Being a member of the github organization doesn't do anything really. If you want to have (write) access to some specific repository you have to talk to the individual maintainers, they decide this. Some use github teams, some only have individuals assigned.
Since I'm interested in openSUSE and I was digging around to better understand its community, I thought to request to become a member of the GitHub org (after all, the request is free of charge... right? :D).
