Hey all,
we are drafting the announcements for oSC14 here [1] and your help is highly needed and appreciated :)
Several things we need to get out there: initial announcement for oSC14, CfP, and whatever comes along our way.
We have already discussed some things during the conference meeting and as we get more info we will be adding them in the gdoc. If you could form them into more attractive announcements it would be a-w-e-s-o-m-e!
Thanks, Stella

Hello & Happy New Year to everybody!
The Program Committee has decided on the tracks and submission types for oSC14 as well as the dates for CfP [1].
We have created a draft announcement [2] and we would like your help to refine it and send it out to the world!
Thanks a lot! Stella

I would appreciate a little more background about the chosen slogan: "The Strength To Change"
This was one of ideas proposed by robjo, we thought it was fitting since there was a lot talk on MLs about changes, quoting robjo: "Well I suspect that the changes we are currently talking about on -project and -factory will still be very current by the time we meet in April. These changes also provide a lot of opportunity for talks at oSC as I suspect we will be somewhere in a transition in the distribution by the end of April."
Why, what, how, where?
There are changes happening that I think will, in some way, eventually influence all desktop Linux distributions - Chromebooks gaining market share e.g.[1], Androids expected to start conquering the desktop market e.g.[2]... These changes and their effects on current desktop OSs IMHO, are also worth exploring, talking about, and possibly somehow adapting to?
