Do we need a new list for every few new posts?
I dont think so no. HPJ: Why cant we discuss these issues on opensuse-fatory? :)
Because some of the people who're participating are only interested in this, and are already overloaded with e-mail. opensuse-factory is a high-traffic list. We need a low-traffic one. In general I don't think being high-traffic is a good requirement for keeping mailing lists alive. You end up selecting for flamewar lists that way. We need more quiet spaces to work on specialties, even otherwise silent lists where you can join and just start up a discussion with a specific audience (even if there's not a single post in months, the subscriber list remains an asset). Of course, we don't want to fragment the channels too much, but I think "performance" is a very broad topic that merits its own list. -- Hans Petter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
