We need to work on this now, as Google will review our list of mentors and list of tasks when deciding whether to approve our participation or not.
So please take 15 minutes and go wild on http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GCI_Tasks !
Done. I'm a bit puzzled by the category "Packaging"...
That doesn't exist in Google list as a category. http://code.google.com/opensource/gci/2011-12/index.html
It can be included as a task under category "Training", something like "Course development 'Introductory to Packaging'".
I would like to hear opinions so that I can fix wiki page; move to table of tasks, instead of categories.
Also, I would recommend to redesign page so that mentors can sign tasks, not categories, unless they feel they are good in a whole category.
Done this too.
The idea of having a few mentors in a category is if a mentor is not present for some unforeseen reason, and if one of the other members feel they can help the student, then the student can have direct contact points easily.
OK.
The idea is to set categories as sections. Each section will contain list of tasks: * short task name suitable for daily use and subsection title ** short task description ** longer task description
Yes.. that needs to be there, so instead of table do you suggest we move to something like this http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:GSOC_2011_Ideas
Similar to that. It has advantage over the table that is easy to add tasks, and also if one page is not enough, at the end add simple link (more...) to the next in list, plus there will be top right column (box) with navigation to other pages.
Did that but somehow the table of contents fall in the div, if you can help me with that it will be nice. Thanks a lot
