None are /listed/ on https://www.opensuse.org/ https://www.opensuse.org/ has obscurely included some in a large randomized collection of "Popular Portals", whatever "portal" means (to anyone not already familiar with openSUSE). No list appears on <https://en.opensuse.org/Installation> or <https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book-startup/art-opensuse-installquick.html>.
The reason this came up is I was looking at the history of LXDE/LXQt on Wikipedia, and noted "citation needed" on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LXQt in the adoption section. I spent over half an hour trying to find a suitable reference. Other than that portal list and page, and the component list on a new bug report page (seems lacking for the purpose), I found nothing like what I was looking for, a list of DEs available for installation, something I would expect most fishing for a new distro to want to see. It seems like the only way to find out what DEs are supported would be to start installation, and stumble into the obscurely located and identified detailed package selection. I thought about adding a list to the second section on https://en.opensuse.org/Main_Page, but where would /I/ get one from? If one of the goals of the project is to attract new users and talent, this surely must be one of its inhibitors.
Some possibilities from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desktop_environment: Budgie Cinnamon Deepin Enlightenment Gnome KDE/Plasma LXDE LXQt Mate XFCE
This command finds everything in your list except Enlightenment: zypper se -d -t pattern desktop
The full list of install patterns does include Enlightenment, though: zypper se -d -t pattern
Should WMs be included?
Yes.
Without opening the installer, where else to look?

This *should* link them all, but only has a few: https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Desktop
The portal part of the wiki has been out of date for probably atleast 10 years, in terms of an actual list, if you include all the smaller lightweight window managers now available for X11 + Wayland last time I tried counting we were up around 30ish. Its probably not worth having a list of all 30, that's not really useful for new users (old users will know what they want). Having a recommended list for good user friendly desktops might make sense. Having said that it is a wiki, so if someone wants to start working on it hopefully they have permission (Otherwise do a draft somewhere and we can copy it across). -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
