The openSUSE Project is proud to announce the availability of beta 3 of the 11.1 release. It's a few days late, but much better for the delay. Beta 3 is now available for immediate download and testing.
Installing openSUSE 11.1 beta 3 on Mac OS X machines should work fine. Previous openSUSE releases would not write the partition table correctly to the MBR, but it should now be possible to install openSUSE on Macs more easily.
Great - I look forward to trying it, but not without ISOs or deltas being available - and no sign of either for PPC.
I'm looking at http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1-Beta3/iso and ../delta FWIW and can see 386 / x86-64 files just not PPC
Can anyone advise please?
We didn't release any PPC ISOs with this build, because they were to broken. Fixes have been (or will be) commited to factory, so you should be able to use http://powerpc.opensuse.org/ in the coming days.
Or is this a mirror - specific problem? I can't tell where I'm being redirected to...
Further, I can't get anywhere downloading the 386 / x86-64 deltas by torrent either, ktorrent reports 'invalid response' to the tracker...
