by definition mirror server holds exact copies of selected files from another web server. There is nothing in the term that tells what kind and scope of files it holds.
For instance: http://ftp.iinet.net.au/linux/openSUSE/ is complete mirror of distribution, update, and factory-tested.
Apologies for the late reply. I can see that it is of little value trying to argue the point here - and I thank everyone for participating and commenting on my original post. Reason why I see no point is what you, Rajko, wrote above: "is *complete* mirror of distribution, update, and factory-tested." [my emphasis] Did you even try to click on this "factory-tested" directory? If you would have you would have found that - like what I have been complaining to iinet for a long time - the darn thing is EMPTY. It contains zilch, nothing, zero. It's been this sort of thing that I complained to them about in the past where they have a directory, say, for the latest Milestone but when you go to that directory it is blank - and I have to download the Milestone from the openSUSE site. Some "mirror" :-( . [..........] BC -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
