Loved your one line summary of the install process :P I think it was a good decision to review the gnome install simply because imo reviews read a whole lot better when they are done by people familiar with the system/device/whatever. I know I could never do justice to opensuse with a gnome oriented review so I stick with doing reviews in KDE. The desktop preview during installation is a great idea. I hope the right people are paying attention! More pictures and a little more detail would be nice. The review really reads like a mini gnome review with a dash of opensuse on the side. Regarding software management, not everyone has broadband. Many users either don't have the ability or the desire to install stuff from online repositories. The online repos are automatically enabled, but so is the dvd if it was the install medium. You can always choose the repo to install a package from, although it would be nice if priorities can be set for repos. The difference between yast control center and control center is that the latter is built into gnome, whereas yast is an opensuse tool. You'll find a different control center for the other desktop environments. Just some thoughts because I'm at work and have nothing better to do with my time today :) Nkoli -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
