Forgive me for introducing a tangent here, but this wording strikes me as unfortunate. The openSUSE team is part of the community. It really shouldn't make a difference, if people are employed by SUSE or not. We are all part of one community.
Hi Cornelius, You are correct. The openSUSE team is part of the community and it doesn't make a difference with regards to organizing hackfests/events. Maybe the sentence came accross wrongly. What was tried to communicate is that it is a responsibility of the whole community and not that people are waiting for the openSUSE team to organize something like this. If e..g. the openSUSE KDE Community team would like to organize such hackfest, then the community should request financial support from the board, etc. They shouldn't just wait and wait until either Will or Ismael are organizing it.
