From memory many of the membership officials are inactive, while working in this area it might make sense to check how many of the membership officials still wish to be so, and if the number is unreasonably low look at adding some more.
it's probably true https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Membership_officials notice some people seems to be candidates since 2015 and don't have got an answer (or the page is unmaintained :-(). Anyway, the concern of Richard that the board can't take care of the connect thing because interest conflict is a nonsense, the membership officials being themselves designated by the board... So it's important to clean all this once and for a moment... my thinking is that we need a subscriber management tool for members, as any non profit organization do. I proposed "galette" only because I'm administrator of once instance of the product, and I know it works, but any other like the two that where proposed may do the job. IMHO the main interest is that (at least with galette), anybody can ask for an account and, if accepted have the access to it's own data, in accordance with the new european regulation. I'm unsure if it's a good thing to be tied to openSUSE "corporate" login, may be not. * first step: is it possible to have a working opensuse session of the three software candidates for testing purpose on some openSUSE virtual server? probably needed: apache, mysql, software installed, (sub)domain name I propose membership.opensuse.org can we go on? thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
