Hi, the last few months/weeks the openSUSE Team, together with many of you, has been focused on the openSUSE 12.3 Release. This week we are on the process of analyzing the work done the last few months in this area. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to this effort. There are some key activities that SUSE has been doing (or heavily involved) in the past that we think the community can take over, following the examples of the openSUSE Conference and the TSP. One example that is on the table right now are Hackathons. The Board has recently made a call for volunteers to help in organization tasks. It is very important that a group of community members take this responsibility. Hackathons have been very useful and we would like to support more in the future. Is up to the community to decide which ones, when, what for, etc. SUSE will take care of booking the accommodation, preparing the facilities, etc. Please consider contributing in this area. Connected to the above, we are developing a tool for managing the TSP that will help to reduce the workload impact on the TSP committee due to the increasing relevance of the Program. We plan to have it on production for the openSUSE Conference.
