Hi all,
as far as I can see the "new" membership process is still under rework. As there are three board seats open and people needed to fill them (and do the work included) I wanted to know:
Is joining openSUSE and directly running for board something totally inappropriate? Or would it be worth the work stepping up and writing some words of intentions and plans?
Would be great to hear you thoughts.

Hi vinz, As you are discussing candidacy eligibility, this is a topic that only our election officials can give an authoritative answer to (CC'd) My personal thoughts, are that it is something I personally would like to see possible; Speaking from experience, I feel the Board operates best when it represents the diversity and vibrancy of our community, and that most certainly includes a new generation of fresh enthusiastic faces who may only recently be becoming openSUSE members. But, like I said, that's my personal view. It's up to the election officials to decide how to interpret our rules on this topic, they have a much more intimate handle on the logistics and practicalities of the situation, and I absolutely trust and support their decisions. - Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
