E16 didn't do a release for how many years and we didn't drop it? ;) Anyway, LXDE isn't stuck, it just doesn't do major releases very often. They just released [lib]pcmanfm at the end of October, which is the central library for the desktop. Remember LXDE is a very small project. Wouldn't hurt if someone updated our LXDE packages, though...
