I believe Coolo suggested releasing 12.2 around mid-September. Given the turn around time for minting PromoDVDs and shipping them to the U.S., I'm not convinced we'll be able to get them in time for the Summit. It would be *nice* if we could do that though, but definitely we're not planning around it.
But it would make sense to mint the promo DVDs in the US for a US event - that also prevents any possible hold-up due to customs and any import duties.
I had thought at BrainShare, though, that it would have been nice if there were USB sticks with live media or the installation. The flash drives they gave out at the SUSE Linux Days 2012 event are 4 GB flash drives - not quite big enough for the install DVD but big enough for live media (a multi-boot live media USB flash drive with 32/64 bit versions of GNOME and KDE could be a good giveaway).

That's not a bad idea. I actually like this idea and timing-wise it may be a more efficient solution for the Summit. No idea if there's enough budget for it though. I'll have to light up a dog and sacrifice a candle to push Jos to find funds for it. :-) Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
