Just FYI: Above '+1' is from a non 'openSUSE member' i.e. non developer without 'those' perks i.e. openSUSE e-mail address. ^_^
welcome :-)
I inquired about 'how to' get those perks with fellow Geeko's from India but seems like I need to be a developer for that.
not at all. On the beginning it was even not possible to become a mamber if only maintaining a package, but this changed (as it should). But, of course, it needs some contribution *visible* from the membership comity and so either be visible on the net or be backed by some body of known faith. Report about a booth with photo is a good start, as are helping posts on mailing list or forums, as are translation efforts, etc...
Would be nice to get openSUSE.org e-mail address at oSC's in person.
did you come to OSC-15? may be we met there?
Now the obvious question = Why a non developer need's a openSUSE e-mail address? Answer:
iii) It > gives more fine impression of openSUSE when I am/we are promoting it
in respective regions worldwide via e-mail.
I guess this is the main reason. it's also a way for the openSUSE project to give a positive signal (ling the school ring on some very known English schools) jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
