At the same time, though, remember that there are people who would be able to attend if the summit was held before/after SUSEcon but wouldn't be able to if it were a separate event. My thought is something similar to TTP/BrainShare can save money on travel, because you don't have two trips to pay for - just one plus a couple extra days.
