going from 15.1 to 15.2broke my config in an unrecoverable way.
This would have almost certainly been worthy of a bug report in most packages
it's very tricky, I had a thread here on the subject, but I stopped
in some words, I need to display in full hd (1080p) on a hd (720p) screen. This worked in kde for 15.1 (on two different computers) and the aspect of the display is perfect (I use it since two years now).
Is this actually readable? I think I would go mad trying to read something that is not sharp.
yes, exactly as good as native full hd on same size screen (15.6")
Also isn’t 1080p kind of the minimum for new screens anyway. I have not had anything less than 1080p for almost a decade and I never buy new hardware.
yes, but not on my second hand 6 years old asus laptop, but with i7 and 16Gb ram / 1Tb ssd, I would have to spent much to replace it :-( kde allows to make content with bigger size, but not smaller. I only discovered by chance that on Intel video I can have VIRTUAL screen and adjust display with this screen jdd -- http://dodin.org
