Hello Ladies and Gentleman, now is the time to present the next candidate for the openSUSE Community Board! Please put your hands together for ... me! I make it short ... If you don't know me already and also didn't had a look at http://en.opensuse.org/User:The_daemon then let me say a few words ... I do not only work for SuSE - I live SuSE ... always having a lot of fun ... The most important thing for me is - our users (you/we/all) should have fun installing and using openSUSE - there is no need to be "geekish" and do stuff on the command line - all should be configured automatical (where possible) or at least should be that easy that you can do it without deep IT knowledge. But back to more information about me. Where do you find me at work: Sorry to say ... hidden inside a System Z My main task ... oh well - I work for the QA department at the Nuremberg office ... is SLES on the mainframe - namely System Z aka s390. Sometimes my boss allows me to do stuff for openSUSE but I spend the most of my time with SLES. When it comes to openSUSE it is a opendaemon as well - all things that I do in my spare time are done on openSUSE and for openSUSE! Some of you might have seen me as one of the evil OPs on freenode (I have logs :)) and some might know that I hosted irc-suse.org (R.I.P) for a long time. So IMHO I can say that I'm pretty close to the "community" :) Why would you pick me: I wish I could say "I'm the Batman" :) But I'm just the daemon and people know that I can be a pain in the a..! I'm not a politician and I don't make promises but I swear that I will fight for you - you want it - I try to get it!
