12.2 has no outdated stuff, it has tested stuff.
Agreed, 'outdated' is just how your 'tested' gets perceived by the press and users.
Particularly when bugfix releases made prior to version freeze don't get into the distro. Has anyone ever entertained the notion of a dual release system, where the initial release would be English only, followed as many weeks later as prudent by another with no changes other than localizations? To me, lead time for localizing is too long, leading to too many cases of stale versions in the GM release. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
