It might. In fact, I'm convinced it does. For once, every software modification, even a cosmetic one, inserts new bugs and problems. Then, increasing visual gadgetry means increasing the memory required (already big, IMO), and probably the cpu requirements too. If you need 3D then you need 3D support right from the start with automatic detection and configuration, with a method to manually bypass it if needed/wanted. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
