Yes, there are minor/patch/service releases which need to be performed
but that is acceptable for me.
alas that's not true, at least not right now. I expect it to be true in
near future.
going from 15.1 to 15.2broke my config in an unrecoverable way. going to
15.3 will obviously give problem, due to the SLE merging.
Very interesting what you're saying. During the release party I live updated 3x 15.2 servers to 15.3 with no issues one of which started it's life with Leap 42 and survived every update (it is running unsupported solutions). We even downloaded 42 and direct updated to 15.3 (nothing configured, just installed with XFCE and went for dup to 15.3) also had no issues. Anyhow if something breaks you can roll back or you can ask for help on Matrix, Discord, Telegram, ML and I'm sure the community is happy to help speaking from experience :)
But it's not a bad move :-(. I have a 15.3 server that I expect to run a
very longtime without major change : very simple setup, quiter certainly
very SLE compatible
but I have to keep my 15.1 kde/plasma as long as my present computer
works...
Linux is moving (too) fast, sometime :-(
