That's a good approach. How shall we divide up the task of reviewing the existing outstanding bugs?

We can start by improving this report. https://bugzilla.novell.com/report.cgi?x_axis_field=product&y_axis_field=component&z_axis_field=bug_status&query_format=report-table&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=&longdesc_type=fulltext&longdesc=&classification=openSUSE&product=openSUSE+12.1&product=openSUSE+12.2&product=openSUSE+12.3&component=Kernel&component=LibreOffice&component=Network&component=Printing&component=Samba&component=Sound&component=Usability&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_file_loc=&status_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr&status_whiteboard=&keywords_type=anywords&keywords=&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=NEEDINFO&bug_status=REOPENED&resolution=---&resolution=DUPLICATE&emailassigned_to1=1&emailtype1=substring&email1=&emailassigned_to2=1&emailreporter2=1&emailqa_contact2=1&emailcc2=1&emailtype2=substring&email2=&bugidtype=include&bug_id=&votes=&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&format=table&action=wrap&field0-0-0=noop&type0-0-0=noop&value0-0-0= It has few groups that I consider potential source of interesting bugs, but it may need few more, or less, components. After that we go to opensuse@opensuse.org and Forums (you are the expert for that part), present a plan and ask for help to review and list bugs. Target group are new users with wish to learn and help, common sense, consider Google as a friend, but have not much knowledge. In both cases ask those that want to help to post what part they look at, so that load is split. If someone has affinity to certain problems allow "me too". Of course listing bug report links is possible in a wiki, but there must be volunteers to keep en eye on both, wiki and bugzilla. This can be done by those that are target class of users. And, not to forget the same mail (forum post) can be used to recruit those from target group that can look at selected bugs and explain what they see as a problem. Plan should be win for everyone, new users, old users, bug squashing teams, and at the end openSUSE distro. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
