Based on the idea ofhttp://maps.ubuntu.com/map/ my friend Efstathios and me (mostly consulting) developedhttp://oshackers.org/ - A Web application that can be used for visualizing the Free Software/Open Source operating system hackers (developers / testers) around the world. oshackers supports features not included in the Ubuntu maps application, like (1) clustering, (2) short/detailed information about a developer by simply left-clicking on the system's icon, (3) visualization of a specific system, etc.
You are more than welcomed to register and tell us what you think! Its nice, thanks for your energy and work, although I think that there are similar systems existing already, but thats no problem since there is always space for another, better one ;-)
One thing that really worries me however is that you use google maps for that. There is an awesome *free* alternative called openstreetmap and IMO for that kind of project its a must to use free tools. regards, Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
