Yes, and make sure you apply before the (approved) event for travel costs, doing so afterwards lets you pay it all yourself....
yes, of course, but I got many "not complete" and it was not obvious how to answer, nor what to answer. ideally this should be done much more before the event (for OSC, we should have it planned one year in advance!)
not to say it's easy :-(
I's always easier in theory than in applications, of course, but I do agree with you jdd, and even if we all know it's a "Support for travel", it seems less easy than in the past (talking about the cheap bed you found in the Haye, great, yes GREAT ! ... but it became the "standard"= normal cost for TSP ? = THIS IS NEW, no ?) the idea was welcome ... but we get to less and less choice (=freedom). "yes, you can go in a nice hotel ... and pay it ;-))" BUT this is not vers logical and not very fair : as in Praques, Dubrovnik (and older OSC), geekos (visitors and speakers) have been much more "helped" ... so what ? next year OSC will be organized in a camping ? lol (crises !) what a great idea no ? ;-) This story of "CHEAP beds" should have been SAID (clarified) very early on this list (such november 2014). and at this time one don't know if he will be accepted and so have to book and accept to pay full just in case.

for the hostel, I also book a very cheap local hostel. I can (I hope) discadr it, but for this I need to know for sure if I'm accepted in the venue beds
and the last news I had was "Could you please clarify sleepover acceptance of those who already registered for the sleepover", but never got answer.
then the connect system is pretty ugly, I still do not really understand how or where to answer a question. I add a comment, then when I submit I am again asked for a comment.
all this do not makes it easy for people to come...
+1 OK it's a "travel support program", we know, it's much better than nothing, but if ppl loose time and money to try to use the program ... it could be nice to brainstorm 1 hour at OSC15 on concrete problems ? regards ;-) Françoise -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
