Or every x months/years anyone will start a thread with a magic solution to the versioning. Maybe 1 year will not be fun enough, so someone will suggest a 8months or 6 months concept to be sincronized with major DE's release.
Why do we need to synchronize our releases with those of major DE's? We provide (in most cases) a way to update to the latest DE with current releases, respins, etc. I am not in favor of a release schedule that is beholden to external parties' release schedules.
You also know thats dangerous; you as a part of the community often look for help in GNOME IRC channel; if you can't handle it without help, then our users won't either... This to say, if all users require the same ammount of help, we wont be able to provide such large scale help and we are doomed.
So we have a potential solution, but it's not rock solid and demands more knowledge than the average of users have.
right ?
You must have intentionally ommitted the part in this copy-reply where I said it needs to be more intuitive and could use more work and such which actually supports what you are saying here. :-) Bryen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
