I'm not qualified as a tutor for a programmer, but can you explain what the organising implies?
Vincent already described what it needs. The first thing we have to do is to apply as mentoring organization. This involves writing the application and come up with an initial list of project ideas and mentors.
I have several ideas for projects: - Yast module for a DLNA server and media server solution - Automatic package approval and management system for a rolling release version of openSUSE. A system that puts voted packages in to a "rolling repository". (No not Factory :-) ) Then the not so adventorus can subscribe to this repository and get fairly new SW without waiting for the next distro release.
That sounds like an interesting project. Probably could be implemented as part of the build service or even as an independent tool making use of the API of the build service. Could you enter the project ideas into the ideas list on http://en.opensuse.org/Summer_of_Code_2009 ? -- Cornelius Schumacher <cschum@suse.de> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
