It might be that you entered your openSUSE email address somewhere on the Novell site, e.g. for downloading a SLES image, and thus got mailed this way.
suse-studio perhaps?
If you created an account at www.novell.com, www.suse.com, or www.netiq.com (for example, to access the wiki, forums, SUSE Sudio, etc.) and used the address there, then that's how it got into the system. If you used it to create a Novell Login for authentication to SUSE Studio, then you provided the address to them.
Well, obviously, I had to register somewhere to enter Bugzillas and to use the forum and other things. That was years ago. The only recent one was for SUSE Studio, but then I would expect emails related to that one.
You can check your e-mail address setting at http://www.novell.com/ncc - look in the "profile" settings.
It says that I have no products. If I look at the "My Notifications" it says that my region is "North America". If that were so I would not have been receiving those notifications in Spanish.
I'd be willing to bet that that's where you provided it and where it came from.
Somewhere, obviously, but netiq? - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
