download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1 returns "Object not found". I assume that is because we are currently at download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1-Milestone1 and download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1 will be found when it is complete.
download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1/ (note the trailing /) is being properly redirected. So a repository pointing to it will work.
That's interesting. Thank you. Now help me understand why download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1-Milestone1 (note the lack of a trailing /) redirects to download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1-Milestone1/ (with /) but download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1 (without) doesn't. If download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.1 (without) requires a trailing / why can't the server supply it. That would be a nice service to provide those who make a small mistake, wouldn't it? Am i missing something about Linux directories that I didn't learn from using UNIX (AIX)?
