Hi, I don't have vision problems, nevertheless I subscribe Bryen on this issue as it seems to me the contrast between the text and the background could be worked for a better result. I have also much respect for the original way on how contributions are submitted and to respect it without major changes, we could try to use a 1px stroke around the font on the text in a bright color (maybe lemon green from old Jimmac's pallete) to try and see if we could get a better result, and respecting the original author's contribution. Would that be possible as a test? NM On Sun, Jan 16, 2011 at 1:54 PM, Bryen M. Yunashko <suserocks@bryen.com> wrote:

I find the "Only xx days to go" message a little difficult to read, perhaps because of the background being overwhelming, or perhaps because of my poor vision :)

For myself, and everyone knows about my low-vision :-), I find it very readable. However, vision is not uniform and different people see things in different ways, even amongst low-visioners. I can see how the busy-ness of the background can interfere with the readability of the text.
Perhaps a raised font to give it a more 3D appearance and thus greater separation between the text and background would be more helpful?
